Electroprocessing for Bioengineering and Nanotechnology Applications
Electroprocessing including electrospraying and electrospinning is a novel technique capable of producing fibers and particles ranging from nanometers to micrometers in diameter. Electrospinning is an attractive technology to prepare one-dimensional materials for many applications, such as tissue scaffolds, nanowires, and components in nanostructured electrolytes, gas storage, filtration and sensing systems. Production of particles through electrospraying in micrometer or nanometer size with a narrow size distribution is of interest for bioengineering and nanotechnology.
