A Status Report on the Development of Arrayed Imaging Reflectometry as an Immunoprofiling and Protein Biomarker Qualification Tool
Abstract
Several years ago, a collaboration between our group and that of Lewis Rothberg in Chemistry resulted in the development of Arrayed Imaging Reflectometry, a novel multiplex label-free biosensor platform. As we have learned in the ensuing years, however, growing a technology from a publishable laboratory discovery to a robust analytical tool that can be placed in the hands of outside users is a complex process requiring advances in both basic science and device engineering. This lecture will provide an overview of the evolution of Arrayed Imaging Reflectometry along that path, as well as application areas we have explored thus far including cytokine analysis, pathogen detection, and immunoprofiling.
