Nanomaterials Symposium 2011
Frontiers in Materials Science for the 21st Century- Applications in Biomedicine
The Chemistry department at the University of Rochester presents the Nanomaterials Symposium 2011. The symposium will feature speakers from across the country speaking on topics ranging from Biomaterials and Stem Cells to Nano- and Micro-technology.
The symposium will have the overarching theme of innovations in nanometer scale materials science and engineering necessary in order to advance biological medicine in the coming decades. Keynote speakers will address the problem from several perspectives including discussions of photoactive materials, nanometer scale extracellular environments, cell adhesion and signaling, biomimetic materials, and cellular regeneration.
