Towards a comprehensive neuro-monitor of hemodynamics of ischemic stroke patients using diffuse optics technologies

Abstract:

I will present a hybrid diffuse optical method to non-invasively monitor the cerebral hemodynamics of ischemic stroke patients at the bed-side, at the emergency room and in a clinician's office. I will describe the enabling technologies, pose a set of clinical scenarios where these are relevant and demonstrate the feasibility of the method by in vivo examples. The talk will be concluded by a discussion on the future directions.
