The meeting will begin with plant tours of Welch Allyn's Automated Blood Pressure Cuff Manufacturing Operations. There will be two speakers including: Carolyn Pierce from Binghamton University and Jim McGrath from the University of Rochester. In addition there will be a poster session for students from local area labs.
An informal reception will follow the event with entertainment provided by a Jazz band from the University of Rochester (Tootinkamen).
This is really an excellent opportunity to meet people within the field of biomedical engineering from all across upstate NY. If you have ever wanted to walk the halls of Welch Allyn... Now is your opportunity to peak behind to black curtain to see what Biomedical Engineers do in industry.
